Mohammed Asaduzzaman has been tagged Brighton and Hove has tagged its first ever South Asian Muslim mayor. Councillors unanimously suggested for Mohammed Asaduzzaman, who was tagged to Brighton & Hove City Council in the Hollingdean and Fiveways ward last May. Councilor Bella Sankey said Mr Asaduzzaman is warm, friendly, funny and ambitious for our town. Asaduzzaman, who has lived in the municipality 30 times, previously worked with Bangladesh’s minister of state for irrigation and water management and has a degree in political wisdom.
